May 24, 2010 Bud Light Summer Fight Series This past Saturday, two of Royce's Brown Belts fought in the first show of the Bud Light Summer Fight Series for Carolina Fight Promotions. The fights took place in Wilmington, NC.
Jake Whitfield defended his CFP Welterweight title against Strikeforce Veteran Lemont Davis. Jake won by submission in the first round by Rear Naked Choke.
Then CFP Bantamweight Champion Brandon Garner defeated Paul McAdams in a non title fight. In the second round Brandon swept from the bottom and passed the guard. From there he locked up a crucifix position from the side control and struck McAdams with punches and elbows until the referee stopped the fight.
